just wondering if you put teddies and or toys in the cot with your LO. I never have before, but tonight I put a teddy in that he likes playing with and a few little toys down at the bottom end of the cot. thought that if he wakes early he might amuse himself for a little bit!!

do you think it's safe to?

I didnt, but I do now. Luke has a fair few in his cot.. lots at the foot of the cot (he wears grobags so doesnt need to sleep at the bottom). They keep him amused :D

to be honest, i never really thought about putting some in until i realised that i really do need more of a lie in in the morning

Mine have always had teddies and toys in and around the cot. Never had any problems, but they never really took much notice of them either so don't expect too much of a lie in!

My mum does report that when I was about a year old I managed to climb on a pile of toys and get over the side of the cot so this may be something to look out for!

Yeh Ellie has some in hers, couple of teddies and cot toys so that she has something to do when she wakes in the morning & I have to say she has a good play before I need to get up with her usually :) x

Green Bean has an assortment of teddies and toys. A couple are his - most get dumped in by his sister  - he was playing with Sportacus yesterday and kept looking behind him when the toy was speaking :rotfl:

Austin has his two favourite teddies, he sleeps cuddling one of them every night & won't sleep without one or the other. As soon as we put him in his cot he rolls over & wraps himself round one, it's adorable!

Summer has a monkey and a pink bear in her cot but she doesn't bother with them.
When she wakes up she just sits there and does nothing but stares at the door waiting for me to come in lol

We have teddy and blankie.... blankie has more practical uses and teddy well he's just there... he doesn't get a look in really as lil miss always ends up in our bed around 4 am after waking up crying regardless... so meh whats the point... :rotfl:

Jacob has his Iggle Piggle teddy in his cot with him and in the day time time, if he's in the cot, I put a cloth book (Jungle Animals) for him to play with and a teething toy. I have also attached (super securely) and activity centre to the upper bar of the cot. Its dangled on the outside of the cot when not used, but put inside the cot for Jacob to play with when he's awake. He loves it.

Also he has a teddy bear musical mobile which, even still at the age of 7 months, he adores and is fascinated by.

luke has loads of teddies in his cot he always has and loves them, esp in the night garden friends inc iggle piggle they ae often on the floor in the mornings but i think it keeps him amused for a time and we hear him in there talking to them! :D

Not got anything in Galen's cot. He is happy as anything when he wakes in the morning and loves to just lie there and chatter to his mobile. He can go on for 20 minutes or more sometimes just chattering quietly. Its lovely to listen to him. We are only feet away in the bed but he's in his own little world. Whenever I then go to him he is always so happy to see me. I get the biggest smile :)

If he seems to need something more I'll put toys in but for now I'm happy he is as he is in there.
