Team Yellow Names

Think we've settled on a girls name as decided by our little girl who's 5. She wants to call her sister Elsa Rose.

Now we just need a boys name, the only name I really like is Connor and i'd like to have the middle name Peter after my dad but OH is not keen on Peter. What do you lot think does Connor Peter sound ok?

Did you dad have a middle name you could use as baby's middle name in memory of?

i think peter is a nice middle name but i dont think connor works with it that well.

I think it sounds fine? Actually I quite like it our daughters middle name is after hubby's mum.. I think it's a nice idea xx

If we have a boy his middle name will be after hubby's dad

I understand the importance - I'd change the Connor and keep the peter unless your happy with using your dads middle name if he had one

I just don't think the 2 sound right together

I don't particularly like the sound of the both together either but how often will you say 'connor peter surname' rather than just 'connor surname'? I think due to the sentiment I would probably still go with it.

I think Connor Peter sounds absolutely fine. Also, it's more symbolic that anything surely as I don't really know anyone that uses a middle name in every day life, unless it's a double barrelled first name?! Therefore wouldn't worry bout it at all. Elsa Rose is beaut x

I think its the sentiment that's more important as if you just plan to say the first name and surname it won't matter. My dd has both her nans names as middle names, its a total mouthful and probably doesn't go but Im glad I decided to do that and we never use her middle names in day to day life but its nice being on her birth certificate.

I think Connor Peter sounds fine? Your daughter has good taste, most 5 year olds would prob say Peppa Pig! x

My son is called Connor so I loove that name.I don't see the problem with Peter we had such a harrd time finding a middle name for my son i found it when a boy got on the bus with his school bag and it had his name on it. I saw it I loved it and it was the only name me and OH liked. If you found a name that you both just like then go for it and if it has meaning then thats even better x x x
