Hi Ladies,

my first post, well second I introduced my self in the intro section.

Im 12 weeks and love swimming but found it to be a chore with the weight. God forbid the next 6 months as I get bigger.

I love swimming r there any others that suffer this way!!!!!!

My hubby and children come with me but I feel I want to stop, weight dragging me down abit and im aching after wards!!

I want to keep going with them for the next 6 months as my hubby and children are so great to be with me, but feel i want to stop, I spoke to a friend who is coming down tomorrow and she is bringing with her something that she feels might help, any advice from others would be gratefully appreciated.

gtg before i start blubbing ho ho hormones

I love swimming as well and I've actually found it a relief to get in the water and have some of the weight supported. Maybe you could try some sort of bouancy aid? I remember there was a woman on Dragons den a couple of weeks ago who had designed a "bouyancy bump" but not sure if this is available on the market yet.....

just had a quick trawl of the internet and found this:
http://www.sjmbabyproducts.com/products.php?id=1

Might help

Also, I know I can't do as much as before - I feel ok at the time but feel like I've been hit by a truck afterwards, so I have cut down a bit

I would say keep going... when I was preg I had SPD and was told the the physio to go swimming and it helped heaps! I didnt swim as such but just letting the water support you is great!

Thanks so much for the Link to sjmbabyproducts, my god, shes in Lincolnshire as well. I have just purchased one, I will let you know what I think. good or bad!!

My hubby will be so pleased xx
:D :D

I still swim occasionally but find rather than swimming in the medium lane i swim in the slow lane. I also go to aquanatal which I enjoy but our pool you have to be 16 weeks to attend.

 Congratulations on your pregnancy,

As for swimming, I would defo keep going... I teach scuba but can't whilst PG so i teach the snorkle side of it...it is a good way to keep fit whilst PG and it get me out.... I am sure little bump enjoys it too...Lv Yvonne xx

Hi There, my name is Sam, I am 6 months pregnant with my second, I am interested to know about the swimming aid also as I saw this lady on the TV too.

I am suffering with lower back ache, its a nightmare. I have been swimming but because I dont like to get my hair wet it hurts my back even more. :wall:

I did check out the site www.sjmbabyproducts.co.uk and it looks great. I see that 'Camilla' is going to try it out, I will just wait a while to see what she says before I buy one!

I think this summer is going to be scorching so I hope its good!

Hi Andrea and Sam

I went swimming the other day with tina and tried the aqua mum out, it was a tiny bit fidly to put on, but when i got into the water and started to swim it was brilliant, i didn't get the back ache that i normally get and i didn't feel as though i had a buoyancy aid on because it is very discreet. i will definetly use it again and because tina brought me the other size I know i can carry on swimming through out - YIPEE :moon:

has anyone else tried it out?

Camilla xx
