Help!

My feet and hand swollen up yesterday for the 1st time ever.
I took my rings off and sat in work with my shoes off.
Today I have flip flops on, I thought they would be better but I've had to take them off since I have come back from lunch, due to leave work at 5...and get my flip flops on !

Has anyone any tips for what I can do this evening to try and get the swelling down or prevent it? Might be a silly question but I live in hope that there's something I can do lol!

Thanks xx

My friend had this. Keep your feet elevated whenever you can. (ie lie on the sofa with feet propped up with cushions when you get home in the evening). Take the next couple of days off if you need to and rest. I'd speak to mw too just so they're aware - they might have more strategies for dealing with it. xx

Lisa, thanks for that!
Kumber I haven't had it checked since the end of May, must have a nosey to see what it was then. I'm going to ring tomorrow about going to get it checked.
I'm hoping it is the weather but better to get everything checked just in case!
Lol Lullaby had a lie down last night and ended up falling asleep at 7.30 haha!!
One foot seems to be worse than the other which is so weird! Xx

Def get checked out chuck, could just be the weather but always best to be sure! Keep your feet elevated above your heart to help the swelling go down. Is it really noticeable swelling or just a wee bit?

This happened the week before I gave birth. At home if lie on the sofa with my feet up on the back of the sofa (L shaped sofa but you could use an arm rest. At work I put my feet up on a box under my desk x

Keep your feet up as much as physically possible and drink plenty of fluids.

If the swelling is severe and sudden, do get yourself checked out cos it can be a symptom of pre eclampsia. Although it is pretty normal in pregnancy especially this far along.

I'm in work today, was going to go to the dr today to get BP checked but came on into work. Going to get the nurse here to check it for me. I think it could be a combination of the weather maybe just not drinking enough! Aiming for 2litres today to see how we go! I keep crossing my legs too which is a no no but it just seems to happen lol!!

My feet have been like balloons this week - trying my hardest to keep my feet up (not easy at work being a teacher though!) and making sure I drink plenty. They look so fat and sausagey and puffy :( Good job it's only temporary!! x
