I know its good, however how long do we have to be specious of the person sitting next to us on the bus , train. or walking along the high street?

I think it is great all the extra security that is being done.... I know it is sad that we have to be suspisous of people but unfort that is the world we live in now.

It is so scary!!

Yeah I know where your coming from but this country is on threat level critical, we are advised to be very cautious. Its a shame it has to be like this but its for our own safety.

I'm surprised that people all over the country think this is something new to be honest!

Anyone remember all the IRA attacks? We got through that and we'll get through this!

I never thought of it like that... although I was only a little girly wirly then!!!

The thing is... it has been reported that all the high security (MI5 and the likes) knew it was going to happen, should security not have been stepped up before then. I know we have SAS guys at St Fergus (big oil plant) as if they targetted it - well put it this way there would be a hole from there to Edinburgh!

I think they have to get the timing just right, if they prevent it completely then the terroists will just re-group and action their plan-b, whereas if they catch them in the act aswell as preventing it they are out of action completely then. They cant charge them for acts of terrorism if there are no acts of terrorism being carried out - if that makes sense.

I remember when I was going out with someone in the police, there was a suspicious package came on the radio (he had it at home as was training, and was tuning it into his area frequency).. there was this big hooha about it on the radio oh my god cordon off the road etc etc (Birmingham City Centre) and it turned out to be a half-filled whisky bottle in a paper bag.
