What sunscreen lotion/spray do you use for your LO?

Ambre Solair (sp?) childrens factor 50+. is a runny milk consistency and easy to apply, plus its not sticky and she smells gorgeous!!

None, my HV said not to use any until she's 6 months.....handy eh? I just keep her out the sun, or covered....such a pain!!! :shakehead:

Really? Gosh, I am such a neurotic mother, I have alaways smoothered her in it at the first sign of any rays, and she wears baby banz and floppy sunhat, and is covered up, and in the shade but I still worry she will burn! Her skin is so pale, I terrified she will catch the sun

I have used Boots Soltan and Nivea both factor 50+ and they both seemed fine. Boots have all Soltan BOGOF at the moment.

I know, I asked HV which one she recommended as soon as the sun threatened to find its way out......and she told me not to use one :shakehead: She said best thing is keep her out the sun  well, i'm not staying in :shakehead: I put light clothes on her, or cover her legs with a muslin in the buggy. Try to keep in the shade etc......such a pain.
I might ask the pharmacist......I feel neurotic about it, I'm dying to smother her in suncream 8)

Hi

Emmylou mine said the same so i was told to keep him out of the sun as well, so hard

Thankyou for the replies :)
I've got the 50+ for kids Ambre Solaire spray, but have never used it on Isaac, and did wonder if they should be used on little babies or not, it doesn't say on the bottle

I would have thought some sun would be good for babies, Vit A and all that  but at the same time, sunscreen seems a little harsh for so young, think I'll just keep him out the sun as we have been doing for now, thankyou again for your experience

When i talked to my HV about it she said the same thing 6 mnths..She adivsed as we were going on holiday to ask the pharmascist which is the safest...but it rained anyhow.

I had bought some suncream kids stuff and used it prior to hv conversation and he had no adverse effects.

He has got a uv suit which i would put him in if we were going to be out for the day in the sun..he may end up wearing it on tues

I use Tesco's baby sunscreen, mainly because its in English so i can be sure its ok to put on her!

We use nivea baby sun cream.

Although I only really use it on his legs when he has shorts on as if I put it on his arms he would just lick it off!

I think it's really hard to keep them out of the sun totally but I try to the best I can! :D

I've been using Nivea on them both but it brings Ella up in terrible excema. Need to get some Aloe Vera based stuff :)

We use banana boat suncream for Soph, for when the sun decides to show it's face!

we use the kida avon 50+ suncream its fab works gr8

luv lou n keryn xxx
