Friday i went to the park with some friends and their babies. I smoothered alice in suntan lotion, and forgot to put any on me :wall:

my shoulder is still red raw. the skin has started to peel (sorry :puke: ), but the new skin is all blistered. Its so sore.

Whats the best thing to put on it? Ive been putting some cheep nasty tescos brand after sun on it, but im almost out.

Its so sore  my HV saw it yesterday and lectured me on the risk of skin cancer etc.. i feel really stupid for forgeting about putting any on me!

Ihope alice takes after her dad and tans instead of burns.

have a luke warm bath with some baby oil in it, that will help rehydrate the skin and keep it from peeling too much aswell as relieving the soreness.

hope its better soon

oops just remembered, probably obvious but ive made this mistake before....try to keep your hair out of the water or you'll end up with really oily hair and looking like it hasnt been washed for months lol, unless you can shampoo it in clean water afterwards :D

aloe vera gel is fantastic, i think banana boat do one, but you can get it from the chemist.

don't forget about you're trusted Sudocrem hun, that says for burns, also its very thick, so i would take ages for your skin to soak it up, therefore on your skin for longer (if that made sense!!)
hope it gets better

ive used that a few times, but i find it makes my skin itch.

ive just got out the bath, and i tried baby oil. my skin feels lovely and soft, but my arm doesn't feel loads better yet. going to try it for a few days and hopefuly it will get better.

thanks for the advice girls

Try sliced tomatoes straight from the fridge-sounds mad but it works..when we were kids on holiday in Spain, a friend we made there burnt really bad, and we used to nick tons of sliced toms rom the buffet and cover her with them!! Honestly, it works!!!

Also, I swear by Vaseline Intensive Care Aloe Vera & Cucumber body lotion, keep it in fridge, and its gorgeous icy cold on the burnt bits

Hope you feel better soon sweetie  x

you can get it in supermarkets too, big green bottles of gel! it's a bit sticky but it's good and cools the redness down loads. really helped when i had burnt my entire back in turkey :|
