does anyone kno if its safe to use them while pregnant? my colour from ibiza last summer has now completely faded, and as ive gained weight as well i feel a bit pasty and minging. (i might not be able to close the door tho, my belly's so big!)

I could do with a bit of colour in my skin too but I stopped using the sunbeds ages ago and would never go near them now Im pregnant.

Oh well, just another thing to put off til June

I heard to stay away form them as they can over heat you and babes.
A friend of mine suffered her whole pregnancy because she wanted to go so bad

I am so pasty now my skin is practically see through. I'd love a sunbed, but i'll prob have to stock up on the fake tan instead!

Get a spray tan girls! I do it for a living and its perfectly safe after 12 weeks! (but make sure you get a decent technician so you dont end up streaky lol!)

And also pigmentation changed during PG, but this would affect you whether its from a bottle or a bed xxx

there is no evidence to show that they harm an unborn baby. the over heating is the main reason. i used to go on some really good ones in the tanning shop i worked in i had the fans on full so i was not hot atall when i was in the first tri i covered my belly with a towel. i misscarried the baby at 12 weeks
then i got preg again, same i used sunbed like before ans lost the baby again at 7weeks.

then i left the sunbed salon.
i got preg again swore to never try one again and the pregnancy went fine.

maybe just a coincedience(sp)

but in my job the manager was being a knob becase i couldnt work in the shop while pale
