Sudden Jerks

Hi ladies,

silly question: I am 5 weeks, 3 days pregnant and I was lifting something mildly heavy and tossed it behind me and that motion caused what felt like a twisting pull on my lower left abdomen (close to the left ovary). It has felt tender since, probably just muscle. I understand abdominal muscles become weak as you progress in the pregnancy. Has anyone injured abdominal muscles in early pregnancy? It’s my first pregnancy and of course I’m being paranoid I may have caused harm to the baby Thanks!

It's probably just a muscle. You can only start damaging your abs as you bumps starts to grow and stretch the muscles. I'm 7 months now and I've only recently discovered that I need to avoid certain movements. At 5 weeks the baby is so minuscule, it's almost undetectable on a scan!x
 
I worried throughout pregnancy about all things like this. I slipped on bathroom floor after a shower at 8 weeks and landed flat on my bum. Worried sick but they are sooo cushioned in there. Especially at the earlier stages when bubba is tiny. Xx
