Hi,

Im 14 weeks but for about 4 weeks Ive been getting a strange pain its really hard to describe!! Im not worried I just wondered if anyone else gets it and what it is??

I usually only get it if I stretch to one side the pain is a lot higher up than where the baby is and i get it on the l or r side. It causes me to go OWWW when I get it but it only lasts for about 2 seconds its like a stitch or a stab or a powerfull kick, but its definately not where the baby is.

Does is sound familier to anyone?

Thanks
karen

yeah it does sound familiar!

is it like leg cramp in your tummy... sounds stupid but i have been getting it for a few weeks - no idea what it is at all..... gotta say when u find out let me know hahaha

Hi Karen,

I had this a few weeks ago and doc says its just everything stretching hun. your insides are just making way for baby cos he/she wil move up higher over the next wee while xx

It could be that Your tummy muscles might have "peaked" basically they split a bit if its that high up. youll find if this has happened when you lie down and lift your head and shoulders your tummy will have a strange kind of bump.

xxx

omg split tummy muscles!!

I will try that little test when I go to bed, thanks

Its really painful I feel a right nerd yelling out when it happens

dont worry theyre not often painful but very common. Google stomach muscles + pregnancy - thats how i found out about it i look like im about to star in alien just now haha but no pain there.

I did quite often and still do get sharp pains when I move to side / cough / sneeze or laugh to hard or if I get up too quickly. I was really worried to start but doc checked me over and said its normal! I shout about it too but usually it pisses me off so I end up telling people to F*** off if they stare haha! my temper has got really bad recently lol.

Dont feel silly if its sore just try not to move to suddenly and it hsould ease off a bit xx
