Hi all,

I am making stinks (what I call my son- lovely) a doctor appointment coz I'm freaking. I seem to be irrationally worried about this child after everything.
He's been really ratty, aain, the lastfew days. Yesterday, looking at him, I realised his neck looked really puffy, now he's got really chubby cheeks anyway, but underneath looks weird.
Anyway, didn't pay attention, but he was having a hussy fit an I was stroking his face To calm him down. He was starting to sleep and moved his head, so my hand went to his neck, and only on one side, he seems to have a lump. About 2cm, hard. Didn't hurt him if touched. And I'm just freaking. An basically want someone to kinda slap some sense into me?!
I've started to sound like a hypochondriac, thru my son, but sinc e does keep getting bloody ill, I'm worried that this wud b real too?

Could it be an inflamed lymph gland? Maybe he is coming down with a cold or something, they get inflamed when they are fighting infection. I would make an appointment just to be safe x

I would make an appointment as its always best to get there and look silly when nothings wrong than to leave it and it turn into something. Paige has has an awful cold (although I think it may have been a bit of flu) and she had swollen glands and her cheeks were a crazy size. Hope hes all dandy though xx

Ignore me! It's still big but it doesn't seem as rock hard today so will just keep an eye out x

I'd get him checked out, probably just a blocked or swollen gland but thats why we have doctors,

I ended up getting him checked yesterday coz it was as hard, I just thought it wasn't coz of the chubbiness from how he was sitting. I pointed to the place where it is. The doctor touched his neck, but from how bub squirmed (was in a foul mood coz I woke him, I know the doc didn even cone close to touching it. He said, that's the "hgvjcfjnvhular gland" that's what I heard anyway lol.
And said nothing else? So I've decided I'll keep an eye on it and if it doesn't go I'll take him gp?
Would u lot do the same?
