This week I think Ellie has come down with the stomach bug that I had last weekend. The night before last I thought she was improving as she managed to sleep through the night again, but yesterday we had 4 dity nappies, and then another one at 11pm and she was disturbed of and on all through the night last night. I am sure it is tummy pains. Is it a good idea not to give her any solids today to try and help her get over it?

Thanks

Has she been vomiting too hun? Did you vomit with it or is it just a diarrohea type thing??

Id keep her off the solids if she isnt fussed and try her on 'dry' foods if she seems hungry. Keep her fluid intake up too to prevent dehydration.

Does she seem ok in herself? Poor little mite, hope she gets well soon

I had had vomitting as well but she hasn't (yet) and Daddy didn't have the vomitting. She is OK, she is not her normal self, as she has periods of obviously feeling sorry for herself but she is taking the breast OK most of the time (we struggle at dreamfeeds at the moment) and plays for a bit but not as long as normal before needing a cuddle. She has been a lot less enthusiastic about solid this last week or so.

Could she be teething? Leorah has loads of liquidy nappies when she's teething and just wants to be cuddled. She breastfeeds for comfort too and then ends up being sick because she eats to much.

Hope she is feeling better

Aww poor wee mite....lots of water!!!! and I would keep her off the solids for abit.....  Runny nappies and sickness also sounds like gastroenteritus (sp?) which usually goes within 48 hours. Or dry food if she has it?

Thanks all, the only solid I gave her yesterday was a rusk on the evening when we had our meal. She seems much happier today.
