LO has a mobile over his bed, the one that matched the nursery interiors we bought from M&P but were thinking it's not quite enough for him, he loves looking at lights and mirrors etc.

Does anyone have any recommendations of cot toys/mobiles etc that are bright, stimulating and fun for babies? Were off to the Early Learning Centre on Saturday so want to get him some nice bits and pieces then.

After high praise and recommendations from 2 friends with young babies, we have bought this one:

In case the link doesn't work, it's the Farmyard Symphony in Motion mobile from John Lewis.

It's made by Tiny Love who do developmental toys for newborns upwards

It's really colourful, but also has black and white swirly bits as newborns are supposed to be more attracted to black & white and contrasting colours. It plays 3 different classical music tunes, each for 15 mins before turning off automatically. It doesn't have any lights, but I didn't want this in case they ended up keeping the baby awake when it was supposed to be asleep! We had a look at the ones at M&P's but found all the colours to be pretty dull / same-ish.

I would agree with both of the above posts. Tom loves that mobile. It keeps him fascinated for ages and he never seems to tire of it. He loves his whoozit too!

Dylan has a whoozit cot bumper which he loves when i am putting away the washing as he is only in his travel cot at the mo
