No poo for 48 hours now despite giving lots of cooled boiled water

Seeing the midwife tomorrow

lie him on his back, and move his legs in the way as if he was riding a bike... you know what i mean??
that can get things moving... or try rubbing his tummy gently

My doc said to put half a tea spoon of BROWN sugar in every other bottle (the fine stuff not the chunky lumps!) worked a treat he was like a machine gun! :rotfl:

Are you breastfeeding? If you are, he might not have a poo for quite a while. Just see if he is trying to have one (making grunting noses, turns reddish in face) or he isnt bothered. If he isnt bothered I would not worry too much.

If you are not breastfeeding (or just using additional formula) give him a warm bath and massage his tummy clockwise, by pressing 2 fingers on his tummy starting from bellybutton and slowly increasing diameter(sp?) and when youll be at most go back by decreasing diameter.

I also noticed, that water you give them should be really warm. If it is room temperature - no effect.
