Some help needed please

I'm worried as Fin hasn't pooed for a day or so and seems to be constantly straining and crying at the same time. He is like this most of the time. I am b/feeding apart from only 1 bottle of formula at night so can't understand it. I wouldn't have thought he was constipated. I hope somebody can help as I'm not sure what to do. Can I give him some cooled boiled water to try and help?

Hi Mermaid,
Ellie was constipated so we gave her cool boiled water and she continued to be so when we give her a bottle we do 8oz water but only 7 scoops of powder this has helped loads and she has no problems since Gracex

if u can get some demerara sugar (sp) and sprinkle the teenyest bit into the bottle of cooled boiled water seriously only a tiny bit, its not bad on the gums but it does help loosen it, cooled boiled water is very god for keeping babies hydrated

Olivia was the same at that age, its his stomach maturing. Cooled boiled water worked for Olivia and giving her infacol.

Thanks for that girls. I also just read that babies can find it hard to pass stools as their back passage is tiny and they have to push hard!
