I need help please who do I contact?????????????????????????????????Well I know it seems a litle late but I have not recived a penny!
I have 2 jobs the 1st one I have been with them for 3 years but when I went on the sick in may they told me they couldnt pay as I have been paying my national insurense with my second job, so I claimed sick pay through my 2nd job but I had only been with them since Feb so when I started my maternity my 2nd job said they could not pay as I hadnt been there for long so I went to my 1st job and they said they cant pay, so I had to go to job center and get the form I did and sent it back and have still not hurd back. has any one any idea who I contact over this?

You could claim Maternity Allowance. Go to the jobcentre and get a form. I think you would be entitled to that as you arent entitled to SMP. You get 90% of your average earnings or 108.75 per week depending oo what you have earnt. You need to find 13 payslips with your highest wages on it and fill in the form. You may get it back dated. Worth a try.

Hope that helps

The best place to go is the CIB Citizens Advise Bureau, youd be best to give them a call and ask for a meeting, the know pretty much about everything, Ive found the job centeres and benefits agencys dont really tell the truth about everything your entitled too. XkelX

If your employers are not going to pay you SMP then they should have sent you an SMP1 stating this, try this website for info on maternity benefits etc

going to the citizens advice bureau is a good idea as well, also do you belong to a union with either of your jobs as they may also be able to advise you.

good luck
