Smokey Eyes.....

How do you do that smokey eyes with make up without looking like a Panda!

I want to do my eyes like this on Sat night

but as I say, I always look like a panda. I got new eyeshadows yesterday from Ruby & Millie and the woman said to put on the cream colour first and then the powder on top

Any of you got top secret tips you wanna share?

I do mine like that quite alot. I tend to use really 'creamy' eyeshadow that goes on really nicely (do you no what i mean). The duo i have is black/grey and white. I put white up to my eyebrows and blend in (sort of like a highlighter) then build up the smokiness really gradually so it doesnt look like a big block of black. When i have done i blend a bit more white in places to stop it looking too harsh. Then put a thin line of liquid eyeliner on the top lid, pencil eyeliner on the botom and a really good mascara! Hope my instructions werent too crap. Usually takes me 20 mins or so to get right...its quite difficult.

Nope, but I do have stupidly long lashes of my own!!

very good question, i got mine done for a wedding by beautician and she did it really well but anything i try i look silly, i'm rubbish with eyeliner too

I'm crap at makeup stuff, would love to be able to do eyeliner right. "boxer's eye" is probably the best term for me with my eyeliner!

Well I had a practise run last night and it looked good!! Searched some of the things on You Tube and it gives good tips!

oh theres a girl on you tube who does video tutorials stage by stage on lots of different looks for your eyes..shes great!!
i'm sure she does a smoky one! i'm rubbish at explaining how to do it so i won't try..look it up on youtube its a great help

yeah shes wicked i tried to do the girl from paramore eyes one when i went to a punk gig- it looked silly though my eyes arent as big as hers!
loving her work though!! shed be a wicked mate to have "oh can you do my makeup tonight?" LOL
