I'm thinking about buying a sling as Jake doesn't really sleep during the day and he always wants to be close to me so I can never get anything done during the daytime.

I need something that I can put on by myself as some of them look quite complicated and look as though you need more than one person to put them on! Also something adjustable so OH can use it too if needs be. As I suffer with a bad back and Jake is a big lad, I need something that goes over both shoulders to distribute his weight too.

Any recommendations?

depends on what you like but I had a moby and loved it. Wore Owen in it wil at least 3 montrhs and he was a big boy (10lb4oz at birth) and it was fine. He used to sleep in it or after only sleeping for 30 mins in moses basket I'd sling him up and usually 'he'd sleep a little longer!!
As far as putting it on it seemed tricky the first few times but soon got the hang of it. Wasn't too keen on it when he got older, we now have an ergo for short trips to the shop, out walking in the woods and travelling on planes and tubes.Love that too now.

I had a pouch sling, and a proper crrier type thing, and a ringsling

Ringsling is the easiest, and she feels more secure in it, It looks daunting but really after the first time you done it, its "pre adjusted" to the baby just needs tightened n loosened when you take em in and out, but all the is, is put baby in, pull, done :D

I got my sling off ebay from VictoriaSlingLady! Massive recommendations! I love mine to bits, and so does Shaun!
