So ive 1stone to go to get to target, with slimming world.

Anyone else follow SW while pregnant ?

I am, but I'm at target. I was worried that I'd end up having to pay, but apparently they'll freeze my account and I won't have to pay which is good. Otherwise there's no point going knowing that I'd put on weight! My consultant says that she's had 2 ladies continue to come all through their pregnancy and 1 of them only put 3lbs on!!! Xx

Wow thats great :)

I'm not pregnant yet but planning on continuing with it when I get pregnant as don't want to put too much weight on like I did with my last pregnancy.

I am with SW now and they wont let me weigh in unless signed off mw
They dont promote or support weight loss during pregnancy apparently

Ive been told Ive got to stop until a midwife has signed me off, So Ive got till the 21st of march to wait until my appointment.
Plus all i can handle atm is Pot noodles hahah!
Not exactly SW friendly

You're right. It's about supporting you to eat healthily for you and your baby! They give out a leaflet all about it. You get extra healthy extras, which I'm excited about! The leaflet talks about if you lose more than 4lbs in one session you have to go back to MW or if you lose more than 5lbs in the whole pregnancy (in total) that you have to be signed off by MW. When I spoke to my consultant she gave me a form for my midwife to sign. I don't plan on sticking to it 100%, but I know if I don't go I'll put all the weight I've lost back on and more! My plan is to just gain baby weight by applying SW principles to all my meals. Which I've done for 2 years now!!x

Ive lost 2 stone and got just over 1 stone to go. Im part way through a 12wk countdown, which I was hoping to use to get to target. Then thats it.

So i was thinking id include my SW constant in the list of people to tell at 12wks (after a scan). I miscarried at 8-9wks last year, so wont be telling many people til next time.

Was hoping to get as close to target as I can before 12wks - as I dont suppose i’ll gain much pregnancy weight (if any) by then.

I haven't spoken properly to my consultant so I will see what she says about me as I am also part through a 12 week course prepaid
It cant hurt to follow the ethics of the plan surely though as it's a healthy eating regime. I'll just give my self double syns or something

You have to have approval from your midwife before you can continue to go, so your consultant will give you the paperwork to give to your midwife! There's also a leaflet that explains it, you can have 2 healthy As and Bs! My worry now is that I've started to feel a bit sick and the only thing that's helping is biscuits, I wish my body wanted fruit  x

i am going to group tonight to speak to my lady, i am not hugely overweight but i still wanted to lose 2/3 stone and i am concerned my weight will spiral when pregnant so hoping for some advice!

I dont see the issue in following the scheme particularly as its not like you starve yourself on it! Will update on what she says

I do Weight Watchers and will be continuing. NHS actually recommends for people of my size/BMI to try and lose weight during pregnancy and I eat very well on WW.

With my daughter I piled on 6+ stone... Had quite a sweet tooth and my portion sizes were getting bigger and bigger. This time, I'm hoping I can keep losing using WW and I'd be blooming ecstatic if I was one of those lucky few who actually lose weight when pregnant ha!
