Morning guys, my other half and I could do with some help.
Our two year has always slept fine, he's been in a cot bed since about 4 months and the sides came off back in october November time and he still slept fine. we've always had a good bedtime routine, however over the past 6 to 8 weeks his sleep has gone down hill.
Instead of going straight to sleep it takes an age for him to drop off. We tried the returning him to bed method but after 2 hours he was screaming the house down. We then tried the method where you stay with him and we got the sleep down from 2 hours to 10-20 minutes, which is reasonable?
The problem we can't resolve is that he is still waking up every hour to 2 hours and comes into our room. We simply walk back to his room and after a few minutes, 5 max, he is asleep again. Its the frequency which is the problem (which seems to be getting worse not better) and OH and I are really suffering with a major lack of sleep.
Any advice would be gratefully received.
