Sleep positions

Hey I saw this yesterday on FB. Since I found out I was pregnant I have been trying to consiously sleep on my side. I do wake up sometimes on my back though. Lying on my side my hips can sometimes hurt a bit (even with a pillow in between my legs) and I can only get comfortable by lying in a leaning position- half on my back half on my side.

I spotted this on fb too, didn't quite catch the full info though so thank you for sharing! I'm not a back sleeper at any time but good to see what the research says!

I'm at a point where sleeping on the side is also uncomfortable

It's such a struggle

Loveandpeace they say that the position you go to sleep in is the one you spend longest in, and so not to worry too much if you wake up on your back, just be sure to roll over.

I have a tonne of hip pain too with SPD so the side is hard but equally couldn’t sleep on my back as my bump is now way too heavy! God I really can’t wait to sleep on my front again! x

I always try to sleep on my left side if possible as I read that is the ideal position when pregnant. I do wake up on my back a lot though. After all of the information on this in the news yesterday my husband must have woke me up at least 3 times in the night to roll me off my back and on to my side!!! I don’t seem to be able to stay on my side at all even with a big sausage cushion between my legs and around my back! I am so tired today due to the broken sleep. My husband is obviously worried about me sleeping on my back which I understand but I need sleep
