When a baby looks in the mirror, do they know that the reflection is them?

I don't think so :?
I read in a baby magazine once that when the baby is about 10 months old you should buy them coloured dot stickers stick one of there face and hold them up to a mirror and if the baby tries taking the sticker off of them not the mirror they know its them.. :)

I haven't done this yet i always forget to buy stickers

Oooh thats a good idea Nic, Libby loves the mirror! I hold her in front of the bathroom mirror and as soon as she catches her reflection she giggles and gets super excited......so cute!!

no they don't, not until about a year I think.

I remember holding Sam in front of the bathroom mirror when he was about 4 months, his face was a picture. I could read his thoughts, it was like 'who's that with mummy??' he gave himself a filthy look! he was jealous!
