When is the tiredness meant to ease? I feel like mine is getting worse, been like a zombie all day at work!

Is anyone else like this? It starting to get me down, feel like i can't arrange anything at night because all i want to do is lie on the sofa in my pj's!!! :(

Ive been getting really tired also :( All i can suggest is as much sleep as possible. I have no idea when the tiredness eases or even if it does at all sorry.

I had a spurt of energy between about 20 and 25 weeks, and now its just hit me again and im starting to feel knackered once more. I could have quite happily fallen asleep at my desk at work today!!!!!

wish I was having an energy spurt! Totally knackered here. I feel I could sleep/rest 24/7 if i was allowed to!

I go to sleep about 9 every night and could quite happily have an afternoon nap if I had time.
I've found that sitting around relaxing actually makes it worse - exercise seems to give me a spurt of energy for a bit afterwards (I'm talking walking the dogs - nothing more energetic than that!). At least then I have an excuse to be tired.

Morning!

Thank you all for your replies. How annoying i went to bed last night at 9.30 and couldn't sleep!!! Was up at 11.30 making hot choc!

I did wonder if I could have a slight iron deficiency, i haven't got my next MW appointment for 2 weeks so i'll maybe give her a call. I'm going to try and get to the gym next week as i was really active before i became pregnant and i know that helps, but i just haven't felt like going, it's now time to be forceful!!!!

I also don't know if i'm getting enough protein as i'm really off meat and fish at the moment. Used to love a good steak but can't seem to stomach one these days! I'm eating lots of fruit and veg and drinking lots of water so that isn't a problem.

   :D

i've got to say hun the tirednesss can be so debilitating, im now feeling like i have some energy and don't feel the need to have to nap in the day and im 18 weeks xx

I'm starting to think that the pregnancy books just say that the tireness will ease to keep us optimistic  I've been knackered from day one and still am, despite the fact that my iron count is perfectly fine. Just rest whenever you can is all I can suggest

The tiredness has got to be one of the worst symptoms of pregnancy. I also have M.E. so my tiredness is extreme. I can really sympathise with you all. I have to have a 2-3 hour nap in the morning and another in the afternoon and sleep on and off for about 12-13 hours at night. It's so frustrating, I can never do anything.

xx

Being tired sucks! I am not sure when/if it eases. I have felt tired from the beginning (but have always liked my sleep) I suppose its about taking the opportunity to sleep when you can and trying to think of ways to take it easy. xx

Im also tired all the time...and I rarely get the spurt of energy and if I do it's only for an hour or soo...but generally really really really tired....it's normal hun and don't expect it to disappear immediately after birth as well..I was devestated coz at least I felt tired with no energy for at least 2 months! then I felt a bit better and got pregnant again :( it's been ages for me since I last felt energetic and full of life! but it's all worth it at the end...
