Should I dye it?

My hair at the mo is a mousey brown colour.
I want to dye it to this colour!

I love red hair but it is a difficult colour to maintain. I used to pre-lighten mine then choose the brightest red to put over it.
Every time you wash it the red fades slightly and the roots do look scruffy when they start peeping through and it's a fiddly job to touch them up.
Think about it carefully, esp if you have long hair. I found with vivid red hair I had to wear make-up every day as it drained my complexion and certain clothes didn't look right.

Other than that it remains my favourite look when I flick through old photo's and I always had positive comments on it, some people even asked who my haidresser was but I never went to a salon to get my hair dyed, far too expensive!

I agree, I love red hair (mines a pretty safe auburn at the mo but I used to be bright red) but its a bitch to maintain. It does look great though, so if you can be bothered with the upkeep go for it

Your natural hair is gorgeous! I do love red hair though, I done mine a black/purple colour but after a few washes it had already started to fade. Also roots are a pain. If your happy enough paying for the upkeep go for it. But like I say you already have lovely hair.

if you do it, i reccomend stopping using shampoo! sounds rank i know but rinsing it with water & using conditioner keeps the colour brighter.
so does rinsing with coffee

i do like that colour- i cant see the myspace one coz at work and theres a filter on the computer but i like that first pic its a versatile colour suits most complexions
