And do they really matter?

Finding ourselves in a bit of a missionary rut. Mainly cos I think we both feel that's the easiest way to keep everything in. Have had some deviation but generally come back to this at the 'end'.

Does anyone else have the same issue? Does position make any difference when TTC? Gravity must play a part right? Or do we think it's more important to be having fun sex rather than worrying about the logistics of after 'delivery' lmfao

Any position that allows for deeper penetration is supposed to be most beneficial (ie to get swimmers closest to cervix). Gravity doesn’t have a whole lot to do with it. Maybe mix it up with doggy style to get out of your rut? But generally I think fun is more important when ttc, people have been getting pg forever with no knowledge of this kind of thing so I think if it’s going to happen regardless! Good luck x

Hi Hun, me and my oh had been trying for 18 months when we decided to have a break and try again after new year, that month we got our bfp and because we had decided to go on a break we did quite a few positions and pretty much straight afterwards I would go to loo for a wee so I never stayed there with legs in air or anything which I had been doing all the months before so I personally don't think any of that matters as I'd been doing all that for 18 months trying to keep the sperm in and nothing, try and keep it fun and not a chore or routine and happy bedding xx

it really doesn't matter that "blast" you get from ejaculation is enough to get sperm to the right place. but it's worth mixing it up for the fun of it

I read online that it honestly doesn’t matter! I was panicking because tmi it would “fall out” no matter how much I lay with legs in the air!! Apparently the liquid that falls out doesn’t contain much sperm and by that point the little sperm is already making its way up there !!

I’m not a scientist so don’t take that too literal ! My personal advice is, sex is a fun and fantastic thing to do with your partner so even though your ttc, for those minutes try not to think about it and just do what feels good!!

Thanks everyone. Pleased i don't have to lie like I'm waiting for a smear test lmfao. Haven't taken it to that extreme but will get back to being more fun me thinks x

I don't think it matters. I think it's much more important to enjoy it if you can rather than turning it into a precision operation if you know what I mean. Good luck!!
