Just been and bought the kids school uniform. Blimey they must be making a fortune!! All I got was a blazer and tie for Macaulay and a swaetshirt for Jordan and it came to £40!!!!! have to go back for mac's rugby shirt tomorrow which is another £10.99, then they need pants and shirts but there's no way I'm getting them from there, they'll be from Asda :shakehead:

If the school want the school badge on things why can't they just sell the badge for us to sew/iron on the cheaper blazers/sweatshirts from the supermarkets? It makes me mad every year :x Then they also sell tracksuits, rugby sock, bags, coats etc all with the school emblem on them for scandelous amounts......well they can p*ss off LOL.

Okay rant over..........can you tell I'm due on?

thats what my old school used to do.

My cousin is starting senior school this year, and he needs both football trainers and rugby trainers..... whats the difference!!!!!

concidering they grow out of them so quick as well!!

(my sister goes to my old school, and has managed to use most of my old stuff!)

i no, i were looking at school uniforms the other day, my mum got loads from tesco for my sister when you walk in they give you vouchers! Plus she works there but my mum only gets 10% nut the voucher where like £3 & £4 off. My mums dreading my sis going high school next year anf spending loads on that! :wall:

Same at Paris's school, something like £12 for a branded jumper, go to asda and same ones without badge about £4 :wall:

Well, yes, but there's a reason that Asda and other places can sell them so cheaply. They've already been slapped on the wrist for using sweatshops and the like. Clothes are sold that cheaply because workers in other countries are being paid an absolute pittance for making them (and they're often only children themselves). (For further info, see http://www.labourbehindthelabel.org/.)

Sorry, I know a lot of parents need cheaper clothes (and I'm not judging anybody for buying them), but I think a lot of people are unaware of just why these places can sell them so cheaply.

When Josh started High school, I bought his branded jumper for £18 (and the rugby shirts etc that everyone buys) 2 years later it's hanging in his wardrobe still with the tags on, noone wears them - just shirt and blazer..why didn't they tell me that? I've never ever seen a single child with a jumper on :rotfl:

I managed to spend £62 on two pairs of school shoes today in clarks, because some genius has come up with the idea of putting toys in the heels  , that before i get plimsoles and trainers and two sets of school uniform.... expensive buisness being a mummy :D

Tell me about it,ive still got to go and get the school sweatshirts thats gonna be at least 40 quid then ive got the shoes the trousers/skirts/ ect.. who said being a parent was easy lol

I've got a few jumpers with emblems on but also look on ebay for cheap m&s skirts and dresses - can get a bargain on there!
