School Holidays Activity pic thread

Hi all

Since it's the school holidays I thought it would be nice to start a pic thread of all the activitys we do to keep the kids entertained, whether it's days out or just things we do at home.

I haven't got any pics on the pc yet but will post some soon.

Feel free to post your activity pics here even if your little ones aren't at school yet.

I think its a great way to share Ideas.

Hi all
Well finally got a couple of pics on the pc.
Today our activity was making vegetable soup.

First we peeled and chopped the vegetables we had to be very carefull

Then we put them all in a pan with a tiny bit of oil and cooked them for a few minutes.

We then made the chicken stock had to be very careful as the water was very hot.

And put it in the pan with the vegetables and cooked it till it was done.

We enjoyed making it then we enjoyed eating it.
Unfortunatly I don't have any pics of that as camera battery went flat . But they did eat it honest

So thats what we did together today, will post more soon.

We decided to have a mega painting and craft session on Friday, this is how it went

Well today we got our foam putty which is just like floam and the boys couldn't wait to try it.

We made some buzzy bees

Ethan also made a brain

And Callum made sumthing he called a floberdoberpooer

and a lollypop

It was great fun and not messy like play dough.

I thought of this thread whist I was making buns with my wee sister but was too busy keeping her fingers off my couch Soz

I it off ebay if you search floam it come up with loads of the stuff alot of it isn't actual floam brand but is just as good

The make I've got it foam putty its exactly like floam, you can put it back in the containers and use it again, or you can let it dry and it goes hard so you can keep what you make.

There's also a brand called superfoam but that does't go hard.

one down side is that the tubs arn't very big just (about 2" x 1" each ) but my boys had great fun with just 12 tubs between them, they made the bees and other stuff and still have quite abit left.
