Scan Worries

After watching coronation street i have a worry that the same as what happened to julie will happen to me. I will go for my scan and there will be no baby. does anyone else have this worry i know its just a soap but its one of them things that has stuck in my head.

I think everyone worries about the first scan, you hear lots of horror stories, but I think you just have to stay positive, and remember that by the time you get to 12 weeks, then by far, the majority of scans are happy ones x

Me I'm scared.

Since I've had lots of problems due to PCOS and even gyno thought I was pregant 4 years ago (was charting and under close supervision then) Scan showed nothing. A few days later I was rushed in, in agony and bleeding like crazy so they put it down to a possible mmc.

I'm petrified I'll go for my scan and nothings there but body still giving me pregger symptoms again. At least I have postaive pee sticks this time tho.

This did actually happen me last pregnancy and I wasn't expecting it could even happen. So naturally this pregnancy I was terrified but all is well. Every pregnancy is different and its not very common for it to happen so try stay positive!xxxx

Yup i think the same thing too, i def dont think that your the only one chuck! I suffered a mc last year so worrying like mad anyway and think the same thing as you. Guess we will all just have to keep each other sane!

I think it's pretty normal to worry about stuff like this . I was totally paranoid that there would be nothing there and it was all in my head!! I got no sleep the night before! Just keep your chin up chuck, I'm sure everything will be absolutely fine .

I was so scared too! I think I must have held my breath until the sonographer said "oh yes, there's a baby with a good strong heartbeat". And hearing those words was the most wonderful moment of Tri 1 - in that second all my worries disappeared

Oh, most definately! I was worried that there would be no baby there at all too. It's only natural to worry on such things. Ur not the only one driving themselves crazy. x

I was exactly like this before my 12 week scan! I worried myself sick + got no sleep the night before my scan..
Scans go absolutely fine most of the time, and if something was wrong, you would probably get some signs sometime before 12 weeks..

Stay positive! I'm sure everything will go perfectly..
