And baby not engaged and she reckons that as my daughter was late its probably gonna mean that this one will be.
Not exactly what i wanted to hear feel really low now knowing i could possibly be over due!!

You never know hun....some babies dont engage until labour itself so it may not until you are in labour. Don't let it upset you, get on the rasberry leaf tea and pineapple!

Midwifes are never 100% correct and your LO will arrive before you know it.

I had a check today but midwife didnt feel baby so i dont know if mine is engaged.

That is soooo true! Mine told me my baby was to small, had a scan and baby was perfectly normal! She also told me the baby was transverse and the scan showed she was breech so she seems to keep getting it wrong

 sorry your feeling low  But listen to the ladies, MW aren't always right..and mamma nature ...well she is a funny thing, it will be her that decides when your baby should engage...... even if it is at labour.....soon!

hey my bro was 10days late. first child

i was second child and was on time, not always the case.

my babys late

Thanks everyone, no disrespect to my midwife but she's really hard to get an appointment with and when you do she looks like she's been up for the last 60hrs bless her.
Sometimes i feel like saying you have a lay down luv, do you want a cuppa or a quick snooze! lol

I respect she is majorly busy and commend her for that but i seem to get more care from my gp and thats who i have seen through most of my pregnancy. My gp is a lovely woman who listens to my moans and groans and discusses things with me.

Anyone else found this with midwives?

hi hun, i asked my mw about baby not being engaged yet and she sed only first babies engage 5/6 weeks before due date and with second or more babies they are more likely to engage just before or during labour. she also told me that baby could come at any time just like with any other pregnancy and it doesnt matter if you were overdue with first. she sed the only thing they usually find is common is women havin prem babies tend to have all babies prem but this is also not alsways the case.

my mw does my fruit in also, the woman i saw today was great as my mw was off sick and i hope she remains off sick becus my appointments are soo much better with other mw's. she always seems to treat me like im wasting her time when its supposed to be her job to make sure im healthy and reassured. some mw's need to seriously reconsider their chosen profession becus they are far from caring!!!!

I never saw eye to eye with my MW, and it got worse when I told her I was having a homebirth, she never seemed to 'back me' on my pregnancy or birth, she always appeared busy and like I was taking up her time

However, she wasn't there for my labour or birth, and chances are, your MW won't be for yours either, so if you prefer your GP then see both, get what YOU and your LO need from where it works best, there's nothing wrong with not seeing eye to eye with your MW and you can ask for an alternative one if you wish too
