Been having a dilemna,

OH and I have been discussing moving to England for a while. It is where I come from and have been up here for 6 years, where I met and married oh. I always thought it would be hard to have children away from my family so we decided to bite the bullet and apply for a transfer to Leicestershire police and live in northants. He applied in Aug and has been told he will get an interview in november to start in jan and is more or less guarenteed a job.

So here is the rubbish bit - I am a teacher having trained in scotland, and have been doing supply work due to lack of jobs up here! I have been applying to northants and leics and not even getting interviews due to the scottish qualification and as time goes on i am getting more pregnant, would you employ me? I certainly wouldn't!

So this morning I got a phone call from my mums friend who is headteacher at a school with a vacancy do I want the job? She knows I am pregnant and is willing to train me! What do you say - yes please!

Heres the catch - it starts on oct 30th. I now have to pack up all my stuff and leave oh here trying to sell house and he won't join me till middle of jan, so I am feeling crap as he will miss the kicks and the getting fat etc and I will live with my dad!

Sorry to rant on but I wanted to have a rave on here as everyone is supportive - did anyone else have to leave their man for a while when pregnant?

(also I don't want to come across as insensitive to those without partners, that is not my intention!)

its got to be done. I would hate it but shite happens. Telephones, computers and letters will keep you together though.
Try and look on the bright side. You have a new challenge and a chance to live back in England where you want to be. All will work out before you know it

Oh that is awful about having to leave hubby for while :(

However, congrtas on the new job!!!! How lucky is that, a fantastic opportunity! :cheer:

I know it's not good being without hubby but it means that you both get to move to Northants for bringing up baby and it will all be so worthwhile in the end!

you won't be that far away fro me !!

Good luck with it all and it will all turn out ok, as long as he's there when the baby has arrived that's what you need to focus on.

Thank goodness you got the doppler to send him e mails! :)

thanks guys, I was lucky to get the job so I should look on the bright side!

Kirlykird - as long as I get the right heartbeat next time he doesn't want to hear mine!!!!!!

I'm sure you'll become a pro with it!

I hope so, might need some help when mine arrives around Tue! :)

i can't wait for yours to arrive, it is so exciting!

I'm sure you will miss him loads and sometimes it will be tough.

But hopefully the bits in between when you are together will be even more precious.
