I want to get Imogen in bed for 9 in the evening cos shes not going till late and when she does all she does is cry for a while, could it be cis she spends all day in her bouncer?
Should I just be harsh and put her to bed and let her have a scream and just control crying and let her get use to it.

Shes only been funny about he rmoses basket since she had a cold

Hi ya!
Don't know if it has any answers for you but "Practical Parenting" magazine has a "sleep special" section this month.

when riley was 5 weeks old i started her on a routine it was bath/bed/warm milk
i started doing this at 11pm
and reducing it by half an hour every week
and it eventually got till 6pm and it still works to this day
I highly recommend it she sleeps from 6pm till 7/8am uniteruppted :D

aww thanks becksss il definitely try it tonight. Im fed up of going to bed around 12 and the DH is already in bed.

As Becks said I did exactly the same... started at 11pm then knocked off 30min each week..

Arianna goes to bed now at 7.30pm and sleeps right through til between 9.30am-10am

Il try anything to get her in bed at a normal time, she goes to bed far too late and sleeps too long in the morning. Im thinking maybe get her up at a certain time too.

Hiya I moved this over cos the "ask a mum" section is for pregnant ladies to ask their questions....baby sections are for baby questions.

Cheers

i started a bedtime routine about 3 weeks ago after melissa became uber grumpy in the evenings. i didnt bother with the starting-late-and-gradually-getting-earlier-ness, i just went bang in with it straight away at 8pm. i so didnt expect it to work, but it did! the first week there were a few nights where she'd cry for 5 minutes (not a distressed cry, more a whimper) this was very hard coz i wanted 2 cuddle her so much. but it didnt last long (she always stopped JUST B4 i was about 2 go in!) and now its established she never cries any more. good luck with it. xx

Good luck mrs_tommo22
Isaac cries nearly every night when he knows its bedtime and its so sad as he's such a happy chappy, I think from the ladies on here, the bestest thing is routine, and whatever the routine is that works for you and Imogen is right, very best wishes

my daughter slept right through from about 11.30pm or 12am cant remember when we both went bed as i was tired and caught a bug of oh and lying down helped me.but she was talking away to hersle in the cot which was awesome to listen too and i cant sleep until shes asleep and i gotta check her before i goto sleep. she slept from then right through to 9.40am which i was well chuffed :) hope she does it tonight too. cant remember what time i put her down to sleep as she fell asleep herslef with help of mobile but more herself.
