Hello!
I'm just looking for other people's experiences, and advice.
This is pregnancy number 4 and every time I've had pgp to some degree. Mainly sacroiliac pain in my back though. Yesterday morning I got a sharp stabbing pain in my right side when I turned in bed. It happened again through the day, mainly getting up from sitting though and today more often. It doesn't last long but oh man it hurts.
I'll be 18 weeks tomorrow. I've been wearing my giant tubigrip all this week and have the general physio group on Monday night for care of your body in pregnancy.
Any experiences and tips to cope??
Thank you lovelies

I've got this pain megs. Kind of feels like a pulled muscle in the sides of my tummy. I have quite bad pgp too so sometimes hard to know what's what! The side pain I've been assuming is round ligament pain x

Oh candy it's awful isn't it! The first time I've ever experienced the side pain. Have you found anything that helps? I've just been moving slowly today so as not to surprise any muscles. I don't know how on earth I'll be able to drive to work, nevermind function if I get there :/ not back until Tuesday so hoping it eases a bit!

Maybe try a bath? If all else fails it's a chance to relax anyway!!? I've not really found anything that helps other than resting which isn't always feasible! Good you're not back til Tuesday, fx it eases by then as nothing worse than being at work in pain! Maybe paracetamol might help take the edge off? Xx

I've stocked up on paracetamol and rested a lot today. It's made such a difference already. I'll maybe try a wee bath in the morning to loosen things up. I also found some gentle stretches which hopefully will help, double checking with physio on Monday too.
Thanks for replying! These weird and wonderful pains van be a bit unnerving!

Indeed they can, there's always something to worry about isn't there! Maybe give your mw a call if it gets any worse x
