reflux milks

charlottes reflux is getting really bad now so i went o see the healh visitor and she said to try reflux milk. has anyone heard of this? if so what milk is it and where can i get it as she didnot say and i havent got a clue. will charlotte just change to this one, or with it being different kind of milk will i have to wean her on to it/.

sma stay down is a reflux milk, there is another one too... cant think what its called. its pretty much the same just made thicker so its not so easy to bring back up.

i never used it for Harley i tryed it with Dior but it was so thick she was to weak to suck it. but you will need to get some fast flow teats too.

or ask the HV about gaviscon. i got it from the doctor just mix the powder in with the milk and it hickens it up

Cow and Gate Comfort is I think the other one. Charlie is on it on the advise of the hv to help with his digestion. He was constantly throwing up and also getting really bad constipation and wind. It's all much better now he's switched milk.

I get mine from Asda - it's £6.98, so a little more expensive than regular formula, but it's worth it. You will need medium or fast flow teats though as it's thicker and won't work with slow flow.

owens on cow & gate stage 1 comfort for his reflux & also has powder that mixes in with it. there is cow & gate omneo comfort which i no is a specialised milk for reflux but it says from 6months so that put me off & i wasnt sure whether i could use it...

he is alot better now though!! hope her reflux improves

 

hayley, omneo cmfort comes in stage 1 (0-6months) and stage 2 (6months upwards).

You CAN'T mix Gaviscon with these milks. Don't be fooled by a dense GP who says yes I think you can. gaviscon can only be used with regular first milks or breast milk if you are breast feeding or expressing.

sami, owen is on the stage 1 omneo comfort at the moment. the doctor also gave me something called carobel. he said to put it in his feeds & it should settle him more & stop him being as sick.

should i not be putting that in his milk?? i have seen a bit of an improvement in him, not a very dramatic 1 but he does seem a little less sicky??
