Reading fest!

Oooh I am so excited, i'm only going on the sunday and its the first time i haven't been for the whole weekend so will be weird but hell i'm well looking forward to seeing Pendulum, Avenged sevenfold, Slipknot, Tenacious D and METALLICA!!!!!!!

My very 'reliable' friend (notice thats sacrcasm...she's the flakiest friend you could imagine ) was supposed to book us tickedts...and suprise friggin' suprise, she didnt bother....i KNEW she wouldnt, dunno why i let her offer to do it

I bloody love the Reading festival too Have fun! I shall watch it on telly while wearing wellies and drinking cider, its the closest i'll get this year, lol.

Wouldve loved to have seen Metallica and Avenged Sevenfold tho

i only just got a ticket by fluke was supposed to be going with Haydens dad but we broke up!
but his mate told me he would sell me his ticket for face value stroke of luck!
ah well next year will be a better line-up

im gonna go next year, no matter who's playing, lol. I love it. I love the sitting in a field drinking warm beer with your mates and seeing a band. Its the atmosphere as much as who's playing! I dont think id be so gutted, but i didnt go last year either cos i was preggers, and Nine Inch Nails were playing last year, who are my absolute favorite band!!! All my mates went and raved about it, just to rub it in, lol.

Really do hope you have a good 'un tho. If we both go next year we should meet up in the beer tent!! xxxxxxxx

Ooh, i love em too. Lucky you seeing them twice! They're one of those bands that i would LOVE to see live, but for some reason i never have I used to go to see bands quite regularly when i was younger, but since having kids ive not done it as much, i miss it Ah well, give it a few years, and im sure Beth will be wanting to come with me to gigs

yay- it is hard to justify spending that much money on a festival now we have kids though! last year i was really lucky and my friends chipped in and got me a weekend ticket for my birthday, and this yr i'm just going for one day.

I know, its got so bloody expensive The first time i went (1998) i camped for the whole weekend and it only cost 115 quid! Its nearly that for just one day now The last time i only went for the day it was only 45 quid, i cant afford the prices nowadays... God , i sound like a right old codger dont i?? moan moan moan...in my day, etc....

Well i had a great time despite as few things..Avenged Sevenfold cancelled at the last minute because Matt
strained his voice at leeds on the friday.. really peed me off because Slipknot had already pulled out!
then for Pendulum they put them in a poxy tent and there was too many people crammed in there we all got crushed
really badly, my mate had a panic attack and i had to drag her out of there which was a nightmare because it was so packed no one could move! so didn't really see them either! but Metallica were even better than last time i saw them, they were amazing!!! Tenacious D were good too!

Sorry you had a bad experience at Leeds Mel thats horrible!!

Haha yes it is..Cassi wrote it...not as bad as what is written on Cassi maybe i should have posted that pic in the adults section come to think about it!

yep Tallica rocked it- they were perfect and tenacious D were very entertaining!

Wasn't at Reading I was at Leeds and Bean decided to have a good dance to Mindless Self Indulge and Rage Against the machine. Might listen to them in labour to help it along a bit lol.
Midwife seemed a bit stressed that I was going to a festival pregnant (kept myself far from danger) she would have had a heart attack if she'd seen the amount of people there further along than me

Wow cool i have to say though--you had Avenged sevenfold and i'm very envious and annoyed that M shadows strained his voice at leeds and didn't play reading!!!!! Mindless self indulgence were cool!!

yeah lead singer has nodules on his vocal chords they've been on tour with Iron Maiden all summer so his voice is strained! thats gutting i love them!
