Reaction after pre school immunisations

Hi ladies just wondering if any of your children's have had reactions to injections ?
Monday my little boy had his pre school immunisations 24 hours later I noticed one arm was very inflamed and hot to touch he complained it was sore I have given him priton as advised by pharmacy and she said if got worse or stayed same to take him to the doctors! 48 hours later it's worse and taking up the whole of the top half of his arm looks like sunburn ! Anyone had this before with their little ones ? I don't know if I need to be worried .. X going to get emergency appointment tommorow morning xxx

I hope he is ok now hun. My dd had a very bad reaction to vaccinations and I have since obsessively researched them and decided not to do any more. Not saying thats what u should do but just saying that bad reactions to vaccinations are quite common and most dr's will just shrug it off x

Hi Hun yes he is ok now ( sorry just seen ur post) they just said it was jus a reaction nothing serious went away in a couple of days ! He gets everything to extreme I could shock people with Pics of his rashes from things he's had in the first three years of his life .. Been at hospital before they got on call consultants and specialists in because he shocked doctors and times he been docs and showed them what's wrong with him the doctors face drops to floor say all my years I've never seen it this bad etc think my lil boy is just a very sensitive child he's never seriously poorly he just gets bad reactions to things like rashes I have loads of pics for when he's older to show him he's not half given me some frights tho x

Don't think it would be appropriate to post a pic when he had idopathic scrotal odema ( can't spell it) but that was shocking his testicles went to size of an orange and purple thats when everyone got called into hospital for him was talk of a and e and ther was no explanation for it happening and it went down on own ! That was most shocking thing ever very scary tho ... Glad he is ok jus Gota accept my lil boy is sensitive to a lot and when he gets something he will have a extreme reaction xxxxx

Glad he's better now and you're becoming more aware of his immuno reactions! Must be scary at first but at least you'll kind of come to expect it and can react appropriately xx

The scrotum swelling was the worst but can't exactly post that on the internet . Ye I always expect a huge reaction with him with anything he gets ,naturally u still worry though. Was just unsure with the injections as he never had reactions to them in past and he obviously had them before including the mmr jab with no reaction what so ever just this time he did react ! Xxx

The pre school injections are the second dose of MMR and the Dtap with low strength diphtheria the one used is called repevax. For example here http://www.medicines.org.uk/emc/medicine/17377/PIL/repevax/ you can download the package insert and it will tell you that a rash is listed under serious reactions.
