Raw rhubarb

Is raw rhubarb safe to eat in pregnancy? I really fancy some; can't get my hands on any at the moment but I'll be keeping my eye out. Husband has just offered to go get some but I haven't seen it in the shops lately so I think he'd end up getting tinned - not the same but it might do me.

Anyway if I do get hold of some raw rhubarb am I safe to eat it?

Although couldn't get hold of any, I might have to speak to my friend who's parents own a fruit and veg stall - not sure if it's not in season.

So you'll already know but my friend confirmed it is in season and she's seen it in the shops; husband needs to go to the bigger shop next time haha

It is indeed in season. I’m harvesting mine soon, I’m addicted! Even without being pregnant! When I came to view my house before buying it, the old lady who lived here sent me away with an armful lol
