questions about full term etc..

Hi, hope you dont mind me posting in Tri 3 girlies. This is my first baby and my questions probably seem quite dim but im going to ask anyway as I've been wondering.. ..What does it mean when you are full term??..is this at 37 weeks? Also when are you classed as being officially half way there?..is it 20 weeks.

Sorry for these questions but i am confused. thanks ladies

Full term id say was when the baby is able to fend for itself ie breathe eat etc so id say 37 weeks.

Although half way would be 20 weeks as a pregancy is said to last 40 weeks.
You wouldnt really know when your halfway was until you have the baby as they can be orn anywhere between 37 and 42 weeks with a "full term pregnancy"

Yeah 20 weeks is half way cause pregnancy is 40 weeks )

37 weeks is when you are classed as full term - no idea why.

and 24 weeks is when your considered as "Viable", from 24 weeks if your baby is born hospitals HAVE to try all they can to save him/her as they have a 44% chance of survival xxx
