i'm quite annoyed as i bought a medela swing pump 7 weeks ago from boots, its a fantastic pump but its strated sucking the milk up through the tube intead of into the bottle:wall2:

i cant find the receipt for it but i have it on my bank statement as bought it with card so i'm hoping that they let me return and give another one, do you think they will?

anyone else had this problem with swing pump?

I have one and it's very good (only used it for 6 weeks so far though!) I've never washed the tube because when I was in hospital using their pump they said not to bother with washing the tube as it wasn't in contact with the milk and that they could never get the water out. Do you think that might have happened to your one?

no i dont wash tube either, was using as usual and just started to suck up milk into tube :( the only thing i can think its milk came out quite fast so maybe thats why, pump makes a funny noise now :( i just hope they take it back as i will miss having it and was so expensive.

I've read about this happening (amazon reviews I think) if they won't take maybe contact medela? I've never had a problem but don't use mine too often!

yay for boots! the took it back no problem and gave me a new one, also gave me the points on it again :) :)

Wow that's fab!

I had a tommee tippee one of a similar design and it did this! I thought it was just because the pump was rubbish so got thè Medela one instead. Hope it doesn't happen to that too! x

Check the little white valve. This happened to mine and I found that the white valve had torn slightly through washing. You should have a couple of replacement ones in the box. You can also buy spares which are pretty cheap. Good luck! x
