I would say Jamie-son, but today I was told its Ja-ma-son like the whiskey? ( which I've never heard of  )

Its Jamieson, and the whiskey is pronounced Jamieson too :d

So Jamie- son spelt Jamison? Definitely not jam-eh-son.
Lol sorry but that lady has me right confused

If you phone the whisky people up they pronounce it JAM-may-suhn. Don't ask me why I was phoning whisky manufacturers!

I wouldn't pronounce Jamison as Jamie-son either, to me an i/ie make a different sound. Jami is more like jammy than Jamie to me. I'ds say it more like the whisky, Jay-may-sunh. Jamie is Jay-me to me.

Yeah thats how the other lady said it was pronounced, not like Jamie and son together more jammyson. Hmm that scupers things a bit

I think if it is a name you like and you are consistent in how you want it pronounced everyone else will cotton on eventually. I have a friend whose daughter is Maya and in my head that is May-ah but they say My-ah and so now it's My-ah to me too.
