E has taken to projectile vomiting at least once a day and it's usually always all over my chest as I am still feeding her or all over our bed as I trying to wrap her up for her sleep. I can't tell when she is about to do it as she gives no signs of her impending eruption.

I have spoken to the midwife who has said it's a common thing and usually occurs during growth spurts and not to worry if she looks ok and is gaining weight.

My issue is that because I can't tell when it's going to occur, she usually catches me off guard and it goes all over every bit of fabric in sight. Does anyone else have experience with this and know of ways to contain it to just her muslin square or a small area even?

Matthew did this for a little bit, unfortunately hun there is no way to contain it! Especially as it is coming unannounced!
I hope she grows out of it soon!

Thanks for the reply. Can you remember how long did Matthew do it for? It would be great to have a bit of an idea of how long it will possibly last.

I thought there would be no way of containing it, but thought I would ask. I s'pose I will just have to accept it for now, I am sitting here with no shirt on right now as she just threw up all over it :(.

oh bless you! Its not a nice thing, Matthew seemed to like doing it when I was out!
I think it lasted about 2 weeks overall.

Are you using infacol? I stopped using it cos I think it made Kynon sick after feeds with his wind, it's gone away now I've stopped.

Keep a couple of old biggish towels around, I keep one in every room, just incase & always keep one next to me when feeding/winding.

:)

I have towels strategically placed all over and bought a stock of flannels from IKEA to mop up with.
It's a nightmare, isn't it. My baby and I seem to smell of cheese, permanently.

I do use Infacol but not always. She seems to vomit even when I don't use it, but it is something to try.

I have muslin squares everywhere but she seems to totally miss them and hit the parts of my clothes/ the furniture that isn't covered. Towels may be big enough to catch it all, will have to get some cheap ones.

Thanks for the tips and ideas, I shall put them into use and see if it makes any difference :).

We used towels when Chloe used to do it, I found the worst time would be when we were out and she would need a feed, I would always look around and see what direction I could point her so to cause the least damage x

I'm glad you have posted this as I've been having the same thing and thought there was something wrong with LO. He's done it from birth and nothing seems to help - although I think it is getting better. I've kind of worked out that its feed, burp 1, 2, 3 hurl.......so I can make sure i've got a towel nearby. I also have sheets put rounds strategically. I'm forever washing. Hope it ends soon, i think my flat smells like a cheese shop too!
