problems after d&c

I had a d&c last Tuesday(15th), it went okay, but today I have had really bad lower back pain. Just wondering if anyone else has suffered with this after having the same procedure? Also how long have people bled for afterwards? xx

Hi I was told you could bleed up to two weeks after not heavy more like a period. I had back ache on and off for a week after. Unless it gets unbearable or you bleed heavy don't worry too much x x

I had really bad cramps and back pain about 4-5 days after, it lasted 3 days or so - far worse than period pain. I bleed heavier than a period. It was nothing untoward and eventually all went away. A week after I stopped bleeding my period arrived!!

My first erpc I got an infection about a week afterwards (my own fault for having baths straight after and not reading the aftercare advice sheet). I got increasing pain in back and pelvis and a fever.

I've only ever bled for a few days after the op though.

So sorry, its a horrible time after an erpc.
