Premature Labour

Hi,

I am 33.5 weeks pregnant and had what I think was a show on Wednesday morning and I have had back ache and stomach cramps on and off ever since. I don't want to call the hospital and waste their time. Has anyone else experienced this and if so what do you suggest I do?

You can have a show anytime towards the end of your pregnancy and it doesn't necessarily mean you're going to go into labour any time soon, but it can.

At this stage in your pregnancy you are most definitly not wasting the hospitals time by ringing up and asking their advice. I think you should ring, tell them what you told us and they might ask you to go in for a check, or they might tell you to wait until you have another symptom.

They would much rather you rang them to be sure!

Completely agree with Becky,

You should ring at least your midwife and just get checked, they can tell by a quick examination if labour is starting.
