When I saw my scan the other day... the babies head was on the left hand side of the picture.

Is this the same for every baby/mummy??

xx

Hi there
Just checked my scan pic from 1st time round and Kierans head was on the right in his pic!

Remember baby is tiny in there. Only about 5cms long. So loads of room to move about. And keep changing position.

Our LO was lying head to the right at 11 weeks and head to the left at 20 weeks :)

apparently its also down to the way the sonographer holds the scanner. If she turned it around during your scan the baby would turn around and face the other way

It's got everything to do with the way the sonographer scans you. They will turn it so that they can get the best view of the baby - not necessarily replicating how baby is actually lying in your womb. If you ask the sonographer they will tell you how baby is lying - I'd have no idea from my scan piccies but baby is breech! They also move around a lot so no guarantees they will stay in the same position by the time you get home from the scan!
