hello, im just looking into maternity leave and what im entitiled too?? and benefits wise? can anyone help me ...im clueless...im 23 in fulltime employment...im worried sick wont afford rents, a comfortable lifestyle etc

hey, thanks for the info, i been working for the NHS two years now...im just not sure what im entitled too...i want to make sure i get everything thats available ha ha...

ww and how do u post how many weeks you are as you have with your baby? thanks! im a newbie

hi i also work for the nhs i get

8 weeks full pay
18 weeks half pay +smp works out at just under full pay
13 wks at smp

look on nhs employers website this should tell you how much i am 99% sure it will be the same a\s above.

xx

while ur on mat leave dependant on household income (ie living with parents / partner) then you might be entitled to council tax benefit / help towards your rent,

ul get child benefit (£20 per week)

n then the direct gov website is best for the rest of the advice,

(i work full time for local authority, i get 6 wks full pay then 6 wks half pay (split either 1/2 pay for 12weeks or 3/10th of a weeks pay over 20wks) and a total of 39 wks for SMP,

so i leave on 15th nov 2010 ... & get paid until sept 2011, cant get council tax or housing ben cos of hubbys income, but will get working tax/ child tax credits towards baby,

good luck,

xxx
