Hello there, This may sound like a strange request but here goes... I am an artist with an interest in motherhood and the process that women go through to mother a child. I have photographed many women whilst pregnant as a part of an ongoing project which one day I hope to exhibit.
My own mother was a midwife and so I guess thats where some of my inspiration comes from. I am also hoping to start trying for a baby myself within the next year. I think that this is an amazing and beautiful experience that I look forward to documenting myself when I am pregnant.
My next step in this process is a bit more tricky... I am looking for strong, open minded, pregnant women who would let me take photographs during the birth itself. If you think you could be at all open to this idea, please let me know as I would love to have the opportunity. I would be very sensitive to your needs and feelings and not show anyone the photographs without your approval. I would also leave if you changed your mind mid birth.
I realise that this idea might not be everyones cup of tea but if you are curious to look back on this incredible occasion with evidence of your amazing achievement, then reply to this thread.
