Am a bit concerned. I have still not had a period, Seren is 71/2 months and not a sign. I am not complaining as I suffer with the damn things and would be happy not to have another one but was wondering when it should return. I understood when solids were intorduced is the usual time but she has been on these for 2 months now.

Hi Beanie...

You're not alone - I haven't had my period either, but when I bf'ed my daughter - my period didn't return until I stopped feeding her at 18 months.

Don't be worried about it. It will return when it's good and ready. Perhaps like me, you're thinking that you're feeding a lot less since solids, but I think Oscar makes up for lost feeds, at night. Therefor, I suspect I'm still feeding him quite a bit.

Like I say - I stopped feeding my daughter at 18 months and my period returned just before she was 2. Sheer bliss!!!!! :cheer:

thanks for the reassurance. I like the sound of that, we are thinking of TCCing when Seren is around 2 years old so that would be ideal. She is still feeding at night so that would explain that, I was just sure it would come back when solids were introduced. Fingers crossed it will stay away for a while longer then :D

Just enjoy the absense of it!

How exciting that you'll be TTC again. I keep forgetting that I'm the old foggy on here with no more planned babies! Wish I could squeeze another one in - honestly don't think this old body is up to it, nevermind the finances!!! :D

Beanie - check out the co-sleeping post. I need some advice from you dah-ling!! Ta

It is exciting. I was thinking about trying again a lot sooner but my reasons for doing so were the wrong ones and it would be unfair to Sseren and the new baby but a year and a half gives me ebnough time to get money behind us and me to get ready and then hopefully baby number 2.

Am running to the co-sleeping post as we speak :D

Hiya Beanie

I too was worried that after introducing solids a 6 months my periods had not returned within a few weeks. However when Ky turned 10 months (to the day) I had my first period since he was born and I BF both at night and before daytime naps (I still feed at those times now).
I really think everyone is different and its really hard to say when each indivdual will have a period if they have breastfed as there are so many factors that can "upset" the return of your normal monthly cycle.
-I'm sure your periods will return soon enough - Just enjoy it while it lasts - I'm afraid my first period reminded me how much I hate the dreaded witch!

(For a few more months anyway!)

Hi hon

It's normal for them not to return til she's around 14 months (that's supposed to be the average). As you're cosleeping I think that delays the return aswell :)

Mine returned around 9 months once i'd stoppped bf, taking a while to get back in to some sort of cycle thougfh
