Hi everyone, getting myself in a bit of a state. I’m 15 weeks pregnant tomorrow. Has anyone else been experiencing pain, like there about to come on there period? I’ve had it pretty much all day.

Obviously I’ve been on google! There’s a lot about the pain being normal in the first trimester but pain in the second tri seems to be mostly round ligament pain, which they are describing as sharp sudden pain.

I’m trying to relax and ignore it but it’s starting to really worry me

It’s so hard isn’t it! I was in a state and thought it was end game when I had that UTI. I had cramps that felt like I was about to come on then they got really bad. When they were at there worse they were only on one side and really low down. The midwife did say it was either round ligament pain or a urine infection. I was that worried I phoned the emergency number on my notes. X

It’s so horrible isn’t it. I’ve got a couple of numbers in my folder which I’ve tried ringing a few times today but no answer. Maybe because it’s Easter Sunday? I’m trying not to be a drama queen but it’s hard! X

Is there an emergency number or an out of hours? I’ve got the main midwife number and then an emergency one. They must be busy I guess. Keep trying! Speaking to someone will hopefully put your mind at ease. X

Wish there was a message at least saying there busy or there not there, at least I would know whether to keep trying. There’s only a emergency one for over 20 weeks unfortunately. X

Hope you’re feeling better today @PinkFlamingo I Imagine the normal midwife numbers is like doctors surgery hours. X

Thank you for thinking of me <3 pain not as bad today but definitely still there. Managed to get through on number I’ve been trying this morning. She said should be ok as long as no bleeding. Everything growing and stretching with it being my first. So fingers crossed, should be ok. It’s so scary though! X

Hope that’s put your mind at ease @PinkFlamingo
I agree with the midwife. Baby is growing by the day in there and your uterus needs to expand to make room. Xx

Thank you, it’s definitely reassured me. Think I could handle it, if it was any other type of pain. Just feels so period like. Keep wiping and checking for blood. X

I had so many cramps for months and months at the start of my pregnancy. I am almost 24 weeks and I still check for blood everytime I wipe!
I’m still getting all sorts of pain and cramps now. I think it’s all pretty normal with what our bodies are having to go through.

Thank you. Glad it’s not just me. Got myself into a bit of a state yesterday. Hate the checking for blood, almost scared too look!
Looks like your having twins! Wow! Big congratulations x

Glad you’re feeling better! It’s a bloody nightmare this pregnancy malarkey! I check for blood every time I go to the toilet too x

It’s horrible isn’t it. Glad we all understand and have all got each other in this madness! X

Glad you're feeling better. Like I told you, my cramps never really went away with my first. It's not that common, but it is normal - your body has to make room for a whole little person! x

Thank you again for your reassurance. It’s a very unknown world for a first timer x
