People with 2 year olds and over

It's my sons second birthday in November and I'm wondering what to buy him. There's Christmas a month after too obviously and I'm a bit stuck at what to get him! Any ideas of what your 2 year olds have liked? Any things you would avoid buying and have found your kids didn't use? Thanks

My two year old loves getting lots f PEPPA pig toys like the house, fair ground etc - she's really into little action figure type toys but you've got to be careful they won't be a chocking hazard! Also got her some Ben and holly stuff which she LOVED! Sticker books and music books went well too and we bought her a princess tent which she's never out of! X

Something for the garden, like a small slide or small trampoline? Depends on your birthday and Christmas budgets, maybe get a bigger present on one and then more small items on the other. I feel you, my daughters birthdays are November and January :/

My son loves lego, trains, cars and dinosaurs so anything like that has been a winner for him. We got him a chuggington train set for Christmas, then for his birthday in March he got more track and trains for it.

Thankyou all for the suggestions!! They are all really good. Me an OH have big families on both sides so I need lots of ideas! Definitely hard his birthday being so close to Christmas!

My son practically has two birthdays! He was born in October but we can't resist buying him some summer outdoor toys in May or June! For his 2nd birthday we got him a lot of small presents that can be packed away and don't take up much room as it rains a lot around his birthday and didn't want him to be bored stuck inside. And then for Christmas we got him his first scooter and he absolutely loves it! Xxx

One of my friends mentioned s scooter. Is it one that has 4 wheels? It is really hard for winter babies in my opinion! My second was born June just gone and I already know of things I could get for his first birthday with it being summer!

We bought our little boy an indoor trampoline for his 2nd birthday. He spent all day bouncing on it! He still loves it nearly 4 months later
