peanut shell sling sizing help!

hi everyone thought this would be the best place to post!
according to the PS site i need a medium sized sling so toddled down to Tkmaxx where they're on offer and bought a medium sized one. HOWEVER on the package it says a medium fits possible t-shirt size s-m. i'm usually a 12/14 and the sling feels like it'll be too tight once theres a baby in there too!!
so what i'm getting at really is can anyone help on what size i should have got? would a large have been better?

I would have classed 12-14 as a medium sized t-shirt.

You don't want the pouch to be loose as baby should be held against you. It should come down to about your belly button with baby in if that's any help.

thanks for replying Kalia i've tried it on again since i've posted, wearing a normal long sleeve t-shirt and it fits much better - when i tried it 1st i couldn't even open it enough to get a baby in it!! OH pointed out i also need to take into account how much my boobs will change too!
