My partner wants to take 2 weeks paternity leave but he works shift hours. He does 12 hour days, 3 days on 3 days off 3 days on 3 days off etc.
We are confused as to how many days he has off e.g what if i have baby on the first day of one of his 3 rest days? Does that count as his first day and if so should it be counted seeing as its his rest day and he would of been off anyway? Or what if i had baby on one of his work days?
We have googled this and cant find alot and his HR department are taking ages to let him know how it works so just wondered if anyone else had any info on this or had partners who worked shifts and took paternity leave.
Thankyou very much

Anyone?? Am still stuck :( His HR department are useless and i tried phoning the relevant people but was on hold for so long i gave up.
Anyone any experience ofshift hours/paternity leave?

i dont know but i would say it starts from the first day he should work

my hubby does funny shift 2 , his 6 rest days fell in the 2 weeks pat , so he got near 3 weeks as rest days arent inc
